Tactical Assault Gear’s contract period is from March 1st 2005 thru March 1st 2010. Because of T.A.G.’s status as a Small Business/Woman Owned Manufacturer all orders placed through us will satisfy all command’s small business goals. All orders placed via T.A.G.’s GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract using the procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.4, are considered to be using full and open competition (see FAR 6.102(d)(3)). Utilizing T.A.G.’s GSA Contract, purchasing agents will satisfy their requirements for obtaining 3 competitive bids. In addition, ordering activities are not required to make a separate determination of fair and reasonable pricing.

DOD EMALL
In 1998, the Defense Logistics Agency launched an expanded internet-based electronic catalog procurement system known as the Department of Defense Electronic Mall (DoD EMALL). The DoD EMALL is managed and operated by the Joint Electronic Commerce Program Office and is a fundamental component of the DoD’s overall acquisition reform and electronic commerce strategy. The DoD EMALL shifts the acquisition paradigm away from repetitive small purchases to the establishment of broad contractual arrangements that allow the Government Purchase Card customer to place delivery orders against established contract vehicles. This strategy enables the DoD to leverage the Department’s buying power through volume discounts and streamline the procurement process for commercial items.
The DoD EMALL provides military and federal personnel access to a wide variety of government and supplier managed catalogs to determine from multiple sources what is available (price, delivery, and technical characteristics), and place an order to satisfy their requirements. Customers may choose to order by government MILSTRIP ((Military Standard Requisitioning & Issuing Procedures) via TAG’s DSCC MILSTRIP requisition contract under DoD EMALL, for a nominal fee) or by using their credit card.
